Sun 14th June v West Coker & Hardington CC (Away) - MWL40
Broadwindsor (102 for 3 wkts) beat West Coker & Hardington (98 all out) by 7 wkts.
A superb return of 6-10 from Buddika Bandaranayaka was the highlight of Broadwindsor’s latest victory in the Mid-Wessex League on Sunday. The pace bowler used the indifferent bounce to his advantage as he ripped through the hosts top order, helping reduce them to a sorry 48-8. Buddi had 3 clean bowled and 2 LBW as he bowled his thunderbolts full and straight. The home side made a partial recovery, adding 40 for the 9th wicket but still fell for 98. Nimoda Baroda 2-6 polished off the tail and there was a wicket each for Jack Ronan and Ollie Weatherall, who added a brilliant catch in the deep for good measure.
In reply, Broadwindsor made slow but steady progress, reaching 30 before Usman struck with 2 wickets in 2 balls to put a bit of pressure on. But this only brought Leo James to the crease, who obviously fancied an early finish. He bludgeoned 4 fours and 3 huge sixes in his 38, adding 67 with Rueben Kingston, who played a fine anchor role for his 34 not out. Ali Crawford finished the job with 2 crisp boundaries as the villagers romped home in the 20th over.
West Coker & Hardington 3pts. Broadwindsor 20pts.

Port made a good recovery as Andy Pinkawa (41) and Kyle Woolmington (50) added 103 for the fourth wicket to leave them seemingly well placed at 115-3. But Ali Crawford (2-19) snared them both, while Nimoda Baroda wiped out the tail with amazing figures of 2.1-2-0-4.
Chasing 126 to win, openers Ryan Sweetman (25) and Richie Runyard added 50 and looked in little trouble. Rueben Kingston (40 not out) joined Runyard (39not out) to add an unbroken 78 as the villagers cruised home in the 24th over.

Yeovil (119 for 8 wkts) beat Broadwindsor (112 for 8 wkts) by 7 runs.
It was a disappointing start to Broadwindsor’s MWL Twenty20 campaign as they went down by 7 runs in a thriller at the home of cricket on Sunday. After being put in, Yeovil made a steady start before their Aussie skipper D.Hume struck a quick fire 41 and J.Reeves 27 pushed the score along. Nimoda Baroda (3-21) and Ade Phillips (3-29) were the pick of the home bowlers. In reply, five home batsmen got to double figures but no-one could go on to a significant score.
